This document along with the other documents listed below will be reviewed by all interested statutory bodies such as Essex County Council, Natural England, Environment Agency, Historic England etc.
They will have the opportunity to comment again on the content and suggest any further amendments that may be required.
Since submitting the Plan and documents in January, the process has been delayed due to the requirement of Braintree District Council that no consultations can be held during the six week period prior to the Local Elections taking place on 2nd May.
Once the consultation has taken place and any relevant comments have been taken into account, it will be inspected by an independent Planning Inspector who will have the opportunity to review the Plan along with the evidence base documents and ask questions before making a judgement on the 'soundness' of the Plan.
We hope this will be completed by late Summer and the referendum held shortly after.
We will keep you updated on progress through the website and in the parish magazine.
There are just 7 days left of the six week consultation period to make a comment on the BDC portal link below. You can also do a paper submission. Forms to make a written response are available at
Braintree Library, Causeway House or St Barnabas.
